Understand the Quran

Assalamu-Alaikum

Many Muslims amongst us read the Quran.But how many of us actually understand it?The thing is that not all Muslims know Arabic so due to this we are unable to understand the Quran.

However knowing this how many of us actually bother to LEARN ARABIC?Some of us may be simply too lazy to learn this language but we should know that the Quran is the source of Guidance.How can we understand this guidance if we dont understand the language its written in?Even if we all know a few Surahs of the Quran by heart how many of us actually know the meaning of the Surahs? Some people may come up with the excuse that since they haven't learnt the language since childhood they can't learn it now as it is too difficult or that they are too busy in their day-to-day affairs.But we all should know that for us learning Arabic should not be like learning Spanish or French.This is the language of the Book of Allah.All of us should strive to learn it.Besides its not too hard either because most of us can read Arabic can't we?This should only make it easier for us to learn  Arabic.Even if we can't get a teacher to teach Arabic to us we still have the internet available.We use the internet for so many things.Can't we also use it for learning Arabic?(www.madinaharabic.com)

We may not have been taught Arabic from an early age but we are still alive are we not?We still have this time available to us.Forget the past.We should be concerned with what are we going to do now.If we all have the will and desire to learn Arabic and to understand the Book of Allah then InshAllah all of us will achieve that.
